How i achieved one of my 2020 Goals

I discovered that if you want to stand tall in life , you have to connect with people and when i mean people,I mean those who will definitely add more value to your life on the account of your relationship with them.

I got to understand this two years ago and I'm so glad i have been working on it with proof of results. One of my goals for this year was to connect with people who will definitely add value to me and what i do.

Some months ago ,I taught on a topic called 'Communication Skills'. It was actually my first time helding and teaching an online class. One of my emphasis in those lectures was that , your way of communication has the potential to draw value to yourself and Chase value from yourself.

It baffles me anytime i come across people who tends to hold communication skills with so much disdain and they care less of the implications that comes with such carelessness.

Well, I'm always glad i learnt this and that wouldn't have been possible without my mentor Pastor Femi Lazarus who indirectly and directly taught me how to win people's mind through communication skills.

I can say to myself boldly that i really have worked on entering valuable relationships with people this year and the results have shifted me in many areas. This didn't happen through magic ,it happened through my way of interacting with people i come across either online or on-site.

Here's one of my many testimonies.

 I have a younger brother aged fourteen ,he is a young boy who has great passion for kingdom advancement and his love for the kingdom made him follow men who has gone ahead of him in advancing the kingdom. One day ,he walked up to me and told how he wanted to connect to a well known man of God here in Nigeria and abroad.

At first,I was skeptical about it because i tried reaching out through a medium to this particular man but it didn't work out so i stopped but my younger brother passion to follow him had outgrown mine though i already had a mentor who i follow keenly and i will never have reasons to turn back.

So here's the part that carries my testimony. I told him to send a friend request to his official Facebook account which he did but there was no response.

I actually saw that coming because public figures hadly check up their  messages and friend request on Facebook but I encouraged him.

Few weeks later ,he ran to me in excitement to tell me the good news that he had accepted his friend request which i never saw coming. It was an opportunity he mustn't blow away. Now the real part was to send him a well composed message requesting to be his mentee.

One secret to catch the attention of a man is a right and intelligence skills in communication.

I had taught him the principle of communication especially on the media and he realised i was the only one who could help him set up a message requesting to be his mentee in a rightly positioned manner. I accepted to help him and then follow the basic principles i had learnt and it worked.

Here is a man who doesn't read Facebook messages but something about the message drew his attention.

The way i wrote for my brother! Long story cut short ,he is now a mentee of that great men.

I have loads of them and I'm glad they work out perfectly.

I connect to those who can add more value to me and my engagements. 

I made up my mind to rightly position myself before them so i can win their heart and the results are encouraging.

Now make up your mind to always honour people and find a medium of connecting with them and remember their first impression about you matters. Your first time has to be full of intelligence.
